These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the AL WASAT website at al-wasat.co.uk and any purchase you make through it. By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms in full. If you do not accept them, please do not use this website.

AL WASAT is operated from Tunisia. All sales to UK customers are subject to the laws of England and Wales.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Your continued use of this website constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and any updates to them. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. The version published on this page at the time of your order is the version that applies to that order. We recommend reviewing this page before each purchase.

2. Orders

Placing an item in your cart does not constitute an order or reservation of stock. An order is placed only when you complete checkout and your payment is authorised by Stripe. We will send you an order confirmation email once payment has been successfully processed — this email constitutes our acceptance of your order and forms a binding contract between you and AL WASAT.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including (without limitation) where:

• the product is out of stock or discontinued;
• we are unable to verify payment or billing information;
• there has been a pricing or product description error; or
• we suspect fraudulent activity.

If we cancel your order after payment, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

3. Prices

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Delivery charges, if any, are shown at checkout before you complete your order.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price applicable to your order is the price shown at the time you complete checkout. We are not obliged to honour a price shown in error, and we reserve the right to contact you with a corrected price before processing your order.

Promotional codes and subscription discounts are applied at checkout and are subject to their own terms. Promotions cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

4. Payment

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Your order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully authorised by Stripe. If your payment is declined, your order will not be placed and no charge will be made.

AL WASAT does not store, handle, or have access to your card number or CVV at any point. All card data is processed directly by Stripe on their PCI-DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure.

5. Delivery

We currently deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. Estimated delivery times are as follows:

• Standard delivery — 3–5 working days. Free on orders over £40; a flat rate applies to smaller orders.
• Express delivery — 1–2 working days. £6.99, available at checkout.

Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by couriers, customs, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Risk of loss and damage passes to you upon delivery to the address you specified. Title to the goods passes to you only once we have received full payment.

6. Title & Risk

Ownership of the goods ("title") remains with AL WASAT until we have received full, cleared payment for all sums due in respect of the goods. Risk of damage to or loss of goods passes to you at the time of delivery. Where you choose to collect goods, risk passes at the time of collection.

7. Consumer Rights & Cancellation

As a UK consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel your order under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You may cancel within 14 calendar days of the date you receive your goods without giving any reason.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us in writing (email is acceptable) at jamel.derbali@gmail.com before the 14-day period expires. You must then return the goods to us at your own expense within 14 days of notifying us. Goods must be unused, sealed, and in their original packaging.

Please note that under Regulation 28, the right to cancel does not apply to perishable or sealed goods which have been unsealed after delivery and cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons. Accordingly, opened bottles of olive oil cannot be returned unless they are defective. Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.

Refunds for cancelled orders will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, to the original payment method.

8. Product Descriptions

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, and specifications on this site are accurate. However, we do not warrant that descriptions are error-free. Colour reproduction of product images may vary depending on your screen calibration. Slight variations in bottle fill levels and label placement are inherent to small-batch artisan production and do not constitute a defect.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, photographs, video, brand assets, and design — is the property of AL WASAT or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with any order — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise — shall not exceed the total value of the order to which the claim relates.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data, arising from your use of this website or from any goods purchased through it. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Third-Party Links

This site may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, while retaining your rights as a consumer under applicable local law.
